What is “craft milk”?
We call Memory Lane Dairy milk craft milk because it is produced and bottled in small batches. Our milk is packaged in PET clear plastic bottles. These bottles have a traditional look, are more efficient for transport to store and help garner attention on the shelf.

Memory Lane milk is sold in half-gallon containers, and offerings include cream top milk, three types of homogenized milk: whole, reduced-fat and low-fat, and a variety of flavored milk: chocolate, strawberry, orange dream, root beer, cotton candy, mocha, and seasonal flavors such as eggnog.

How can I preserve the freshness, flavor and quality of Memory Lane Dairy milk?

All Memory Lane Dairy milk is packaged to preserve the fresh taste of our all-natural, high-quality milk. Keep your milk in the original container until empty, and do not return unused milk to the container. Store milk with the lid tightly closed in the refrigerator at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower (preferably below 35 degrees) as soon as possible after purchase. Avoid storing milk in the door of your refrigerator.

We recommend keeping a small Styrofoam cooler in the trunk of your car during the warm summer months to protect the milk during transport from the store to your home.

What do the dates on the bottles mean?
The date on the milk bottle indicates when the milk is meant to be sold by. It is used by the dairy industry to indicate the age of individual containers of milk and does not reflect the shelf life of the milk. Generally, proper care ensures freshness of the milk for a few days beyond its “sell by” date.
Does Memory Lane Dairy milk contain any artificial ingredients?

Memory Lane Dairy milk is made with the highest-quality, natural milk from pasture-grazed cows, which are few in number and mostly residing in our local area. Pasture-grazed means that our cows’ diets are centered on grass, but they may receive grain to ensure balanced nutrition.

Some of our flavored milk products contain artificial ingredients to enhance the flavor and color. Click here to see a list of ingredients and nutritional information for all of our flavored milk products.

Which Memory Lane Dairy milk products are gluten-free?

For our customers who have a gluten intolerance or celiac disease, our gluten-free products are a healthy alternative. Our cream top, homogenized whole, reduced- and low-fat, as well as our flavored milk products, all are gluten-free.

Can I drink Memory Lane Dairy milk after the due date on the container?
If properly refrigerated, milk generally stays fresh for several days after the “sell by” date.
Where does Memory Lane Dairy get its milk?

All Memory Lane Dairy milk comes from local family farms with pasture-grazed herds within a 50-mile radius of our Fordland, Missouri, plant. Our milk is distributed by Hiland Dairy to leading grocery stores throughout Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

What does “pasture-grazed” mean when referring to the cows that provide Memory Lane Dairy milk?
